How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

It took me 9 months and I've lost 6st 8.6lbs92.6lbs42kg.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

My weight was starting to limit what I could do and I was starting to suffer from joint pains.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

Just by searching online for a useful app to help keep track of how I was doing.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

My weight had basically increased slowly since leaving school and through university. I played a fair bit of rugby in the front row so the weight at the time was helpful. Despite continued weight gain, I always remained active and relatively fit so I wasn’t too worried until things started to hurt.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

It was relatively easy as I had the right mindset to make a difference. There is no doubt the Covid lockdown helped by removing temptation at a time when I'd lost about 2.5 stone already.

What was the most difficult thing?

The first month of really limiting net calories and trying not to slip back into bad habits.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I didn't realise how bad I must have been feeling before. I now feel great and have so much more energy and no longer have any joint pain.

Any notable milestones to report?

I managed my first 100km bike ride two weeks ago, which was a target I'd been aiming for.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. Set yourself realistic short-term targets
  2. Don't lie to yourself about how much you're eating/exercising
  3. Tell your friends what you’re doing as their support will really help
