Tips for weekend diary keeping

Emma & Amy - Nutracheck Nutritionists

The weekend is often when people are out of their usual routine, which can bring up extra challenges when keeping a food diary. But that said, it's absolutely still possible to keep an accurate and complete food diary if you remain focused.

Here are our top tips for staying on track with your food diary over the weekend:

  1. Log as you go – to avoid forgetting things you've eaten, try to ensure you log your meals and snacks as soon as you have them.
  2. Logging something is better than nothing – if you eat away from the home and can't find it in our Eating Out section, try adding something similar from our database as an estimate instead.
  3. Use a recipe from our Popular Recipes – so it's just a few clicks to log it in your diary (Tap on 'My Meals' > 'Popular Recipes').
  4. Log when you remember – if you forget to log until the end of the day, it's not too late – think back and try to log as much as you can remember. Some logging is better than none remember!

Happy logging!
