How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have lost 4st 9lbs 65lbs29.4kg and I started on 4th May 2019 so it has taken me around 16 months in total.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I was due to get married this year and wanted to become fitter and healthier for my little boy.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

Once deciding I wanted to lose weight, I knew I didn't want to take part in a fad diet so I did some searching in the App Store and read all the reviews. After finding Nutracheck, I knew it was the right app for me and I liked that there was a free trial for me to make a comprehensive decision.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

My weight has always stayed around 9 stone and I was size 8 to 10 until around 2017 when I fell pregnant. After having my little boy in July 2018 my weight continued to increase and my size continued to go up until in May 2019 I reached my heaviest of 14st 1lbs197lbs89.4kg and became a size 16.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

I didn't feel Nutracheck was a huge change to my lifestyle. It made me more self-aware and was more of an attitude towards food that changed, however Nutracheck was the tool to assist me in every way with this.

What was the most difficult thing?

At first the most difficult thing was the drop in calorie intake and getting into a routine of 3 set meals. Learning what foods were better choices and what I could eat that was not only lower in calories but also filling and healthy.

How do you feel now compared to before?

I feel so much healthier and happier and comfortable within myself. I feel I have a much better relationship with food but have also learned along the way that you can still indulge in the odd meal out or weekend take away due to counting calories and not syns or points as this would have never of worked for me.

Any notable milestones to report?

Whilst being on this journey I have dropped almost 4 dress sizes, I was a size 16 and now I am between my original sizes of 8-10 which I would never have dreamed possible. I also have become a great deal fitter and can now achieve walks of around 15 thousand steps which before I started was near impossible for me.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

  1. I would always say never use a diet whereby you're not eating food as it's not sustainable.
  2. Be in the right mind set and do it for you. Enjoy the challenge of finding new foods and realising anything can be adapted to a lower fat option.
  3. And above all log everything, you will be shocked how many calories the simplest of things contain.
