How much weight have you lost and how long did it take?

I have lost 5st 4.5lbs74.5lbs33.8kg and it took me 1 year 6 months.

What prompted your decision to lose weight?

I decided to lose weight for a number of reasons. Firstly, I had my 30th Birthday pictures sent to me by my friends and I couldn't believe the person in the photo was me! I did not realise how big I had got. But the final straw was my health was suffering, I had back pain often and got out of breath just walking up the stairs. I decided enough was enough! I needed to get healthy.

How did you hear about Nutracheck?

I found Nutracheck on the Apple App Store. I loved the look of the app and the fact you can see the food you search for. It made counting calories so easy.

Has your weight stayed fairly consistent over the years, or have you always had to manage it?

Before this app I just kept putting on weight, but since using Nutracheck I have been able to manage my weight easily.

How easy was it to fit the changes you made into your lifestyle?

With calorie counting it was really easy. Nothing is off limits. I just made sure that I counted what I ate and would have smaller portions of takeaways so that I stay within my calorie limit.

What was the most difficult thing?

The most difficult thing was just having belief in myself at the start - wondering if I could actually ever get to my target, but I needn’t have worried!

How do you feel now compared to before?

I honestly feel amazing. My clothes fit me nicely and I feel healthy; no back pain and no breathlessness walking up the stairs.

Any notable milestones to report?

Every time I went down a stone or a dress size was just amazing. Every time that happened it pushed me on to get to target.

What 3 tips would you give to anyone who has weight to lose?

• Believe in yourself - you can do it!
• Plan ahead if you can, by inputting calories the day before you will know what you have left for any snacks or extras with your meals.
• Lastly, see this as a change in your eating habits rather than a diet because it is a way of life for me now.
